The theater where the event was held has been named as the Steve Jobs Theater, a living tribute to the Man in the Machine. The words said by Cook,

“It has taken some time;
But we can now reflect on him (Jobs),
With joy, instead of sadness”

stood out the most among others, for Apple and all its fans are thankful to Steve Jobs for his extraordinary work, as they accept his absence.

iPhone 8

iPhone 8; the exorbitant excitement boiled down when an iPhone 7 look-alike was shown on the big screen. People sure didn’t want this to be the next big thing after all the rumors. iPhone 8, though a powerhouse of a phone, brought an air of disappointment at least for the next 15 minutes or so.

Philip W. Schiller, the senior VP of Worldwide Marketing at Apple Inc., took it from Tim to talk about iPhone 8. He emphasized on the fact that iPhone 8 is made with the Aerospace-grade Aluminium alloy which is quite strong. The glass used to make the phone is pretty tough too. He said,

“The glass is the most durable, ever, in a smartphone.”

The phone is water resistant with support for better images and sound. The 6 core A11 Bionic chip powers the new iPhone that is much faster than the A10.

The iPhone X Via Apple Newsroom

The iPhone X (pronounced 10), is the future of smartphones for the next decade according to Mr. Cook. It is an uninterrupted beautiful screen in the front and a dual camera sporter in the back. The design is a pleasure to the eyes. The screen is everything there is, to the new iPhone as it bids farewell to the home button and welcomes the Face ID. A true edge-to-edge display is not only high-tech but has a great deal of art to it. You’ll know when you hold it in your hand.

The most advanced features in the iPhone X are contained in the little notch at the top. It has Infrared Camera, Front Camera, Dot Projector, Flood Illuminator, Ambient light sensor, Proximity Sensor, Microphone, and Speaker. Eight components in less than eight centimeters.

With the help of Dot Projector, Infrared Camera, and Flood Illuminator, iPhone X is able to make the Face ID work. It is an old concept given new life by Apple, which works almost perfectly.

“Craig Federighi, couldn’t get it to work on the first try; indicated that it doesn’t always let the right person in, either,” quoting Rachel Metz of the MIT Technology Review, where she describes a little glitch that took place during the event.

Animojis or real-time-face-expression-replicating-emojis also work because of the technology behind Face ID. The technology can sprout new applications in the future such as behavior tracking and mood analysis with the help of the AI layer embedded into it.

Everything else, bigger camera, the processor chip can be read in the following specs table.

There’s no debate on if the iPhone X is a buyable phone or not, people who love Apple will buy it anyway. Otherwise, it is a rather costly affair to get in. If you do get in, you get to hold a fine piece of craftsmanship and technology. We? We have our eyes glittering.
