Primary Specifications

Nokia 8, as tipped, sports the Snapdragon 835 spewing fire at 2.5 GHz. It has been launched with the 4 GB RAM variant only and no signs of the rumored 6 GB version for now. The phone will provide some beautiful photographs with Carl Zeiss optics used in its dual 13 MP rear cameras and a similar 13 MP camera on the front.

The internal 64 GB memory is expandable up to 256 GB, promising enough space for all kinds of media and apps. The decent 5.3-inch display has a sharp QHD resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The phone will be running the Android 7.1.1 Nougat with promised Android O update coming along soon.

The Boosted Multimedia

Nokia sure wanted to make a phone worth completing the multimedia standards of the latest flagships, living up to its legacy of high-end camera phones.

The phone has been built in collaboration with Zeiss – the world renowned optics manufacturer. You can expect really high-quality photographs with the dual 13MP cameras with laser autofocus and RGB + Monochrome sensors.

Both secondary and primary cameras are capable of recording 4K videos, though not simultaneously. Vloggers, are you listening?

What’s more? The phone’s camera app will allow split capture or “bothies” – as Nokia likes to call it, which means both the front and rear camera can take photos and record videos at the same time. This was seen in some of the previous HTC flagships as well.

Nokia 8 has featured Nokia Ozo Audio which will enable surround sound recording with its built-in microphones. The technology is capable of managing a clear surround sound for videos intended to be shared on social platforms, making this phone a great recording tool.

Also, it supports an earphone jack, just to mention that Pixel 2 and the latest iPhone don’t. So, yeah, that’s an advantage.

Update: Nokia 8 India Launch and Availability

One of the most crucial factors, the price has been appropriately balanced at EUR 483 (USD 704,  INR 37,000), which can’t be regarded as too costly and neither as a best-buy. The phone has been fabricated with 6000 series Aluminum in a Unibody design which gives us a fair idea where the bucks are going.

Nokia 8 is now available in India and will be going on sale on 16th October. You can buy the phone from for a great price!

The Only Downfalls

The only downfalls in this amazing phone is the 3,090 mAh battery which is nearly equivalent to the Nokia 6, you need much more than that with those cameras and microphones.

The phone will be available in a single SIM option which is a put-off for Indian market. A hybrid dual SIM option is tipped though.
